This week, I am excited to have our first repeat guest, Dr. Deborah Serani. Dr. Serani was on our show earlier this year to discuss her book, Depression and Your Child: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers. This week, she is back; and we have an awesome, candid conversation to talk about another one of her books, Depression in Later Life: An Essential Guide.

In a very engaging back-and-forth, we cover a wide array of Deb's work in the field of geriatric mood disorders. We discuss the biological, psychological, and social contributors to depression in later life as well as some holistic approaches to living a life of conscious aging. We go through some of the myths of late life depression, and how you can help senior citizens you know to structure their life for well-being. It's a great conversation that you don't want to miss!

Dr. Deborah Serani is a licensed psychologist in practice twenty five years, an associate professor at Adelphi University, and author of the award-winning books, Living with Depression, Depression and Your Child: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers, and Depression in Later Life: An Essential Guide.

You can purchase Deb's books via her Amazon Page (here), and you can also connect with her through her website, https://www.drdeborahserani.com/
